When we look good we feel good! And doing little things that make us feel prettier can make us feel really good about ourselves.
Now I do want to say that true beauty comes from within, and you don’t need any of these things to be beautiful. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t little things we can do to make us feel extra good about ourselves.

1. Self Care
This, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to look prettier and feel good. When you are taking care of yourself and feel good about yourself, it really shows on the outside.
Giving yourself some ‘me’ time whether in the form of taking a nice bath, reading a good book, or even just sitting down to have a cup of tea, can do wonders on your mood.
When you feel good and take care of yourself it can show in your mood and your appearance. When you are happy you will look way better and feel better too.

2. Self Confidence
We all know confidence is sexy. But sometimes we don’t always feel the most confident.
On days when we’re not feeling the most confident, I find affirmations are a great way to give yourself a nice confidence boost.
Remind yourself of your great qualities and say it out loud if it helps. I really enjoy using affirmation cards as I find saying powerful words out loud can really make a difference in your mood.
It may sound silly if you have not done it before, but many people find affirmations to be a great exercise. I really enjoy them and have made some myself that you can check out here.
3. Relaxation
Being super stressed all the time can not only hurt your mood but can really show in your appearance as well. And with everything going on in life, it can be really difficult to find time to relax.
I find fitting in even 5-10 minutes of self care throughout the day can help you recharge and really make a difference.
Reading, having a cup of tea, meditating, or even taking a quick shower are all things that you can do in 5-10 minutes but really can make you feel more relaxed.
Adding small things throughout the day can help make a stressful day a bit better. But I found for myself a mindset change is what really helped me overcome a lot of stress in my life.
Starting the day off by thinking or writing out what I was grateful for really helped me realize the big important things in my life.
Whenever I come across stress, I really try to remind myself of all that I am grateful for and I try to put the stressful situation into perspective.

4. Keeping Organized
Feeling unorganized can sometimes create stress and lower productivity.
Feeling organized on the other hand, can make you feel confident and productive and can overall put you in a better mood. And when you feel good, you look good!
One of the best ways to stay organized is to plan your days.
I am not a huge fan of planning and can sometimes find it frustrating. But I know how important planning is and how much of a difference it can make.
I have found if I use simple but pretty tools to plan, then I am more likely to plan things out.

5. Clean Styled Hair
It is SO easy to just throw your hair up into a messy bun and call it a day. And although sometimes a messy bun can be cute, a lot of times it can just look…messy.
Putting just a tiny bit of effort into your hair can make a HUGE difference.
I hate styling my hair so I love finding easy and simple hairstyles online that I can do quickly.
But my favorite way of keeping my hair looking good throughout the week is styling my hair once or twice a week and maintaining the style as long as I can before I have to wash my hair again.
I love using different tools like a blow dry brush, a straightener, hair wand or hair waiver. I find styling hair beginning and mid week and then just touching it up the other days is the easiest way to have a cute hairstyle without much effort.
6. Clean Skin
As simply as it may seem, having clean looking skin can make all the difference.
I have acne prone skin and I find the less I use, the better my skin is so I don’t usually use a ton of products. But I still find rinsing my face with water, putting on a little moisturizer and chapstick makes me look SO much better than if I didn’t do anything at all to my face.
Tinted moisturizer is also fantastic on days when you want a bit of coverage but still want to look natural.
7. Exercise
I know we’ve all heard the benefits of exercise a ton of times. But getting a daily dose of exercise can seriously make you look and feel fabulous.
Even just a daily walk or some stretches can make you feel great. Exercise can make you feel more energetic and happier which can really show in your appearance.

8. Happiness
When you are happy and smiling you not only feel good but look good too!
We all find someone who seems happy and who is smiling more inviting to us than someone who seems to be angry or stressed.
There are small but effective things you can do daily to try and elevate your mood. I find affirmations, a gratitude journal, meditation, and just overall doing things you enjoy throughout the day really help to elevate your mood each day.
9. Good Hygiene
This is an obvious one but also one that can be easily forgotten when we are busy or tired.
I’m definitely no stranger to going out once in awhile with unbrushed hair and forgetting to wash my face.
But good basic hygiene like brushing your teeth, showering, and brushing your hair really is one of the best ways to look prettier.
10. Clothes That You Feel Good In
Having clean clothes that fit us well is one of the easiest ways to look prettier.
Most of us have a lot of clothes in our closets that we don’t necessarily love but keep because they are comfy, we spent a lot on them, or other reasons that we don’t want to let them go.
But decluttering your clothes and only keeping ones that you feel great in can really make a difference.
Try getting decluttering clothes that don’t fit right or that don’t make you feel good.
When you wear clothes that fit you well and that make you feel good, you will be more confident.
11. Jewellery
Just like with clothes, only wearing jewellery that is in good condition and that makes you feel good will look prettier than keeping a bunch that look discolored or cheap.
Try decluttering your jewellery to only your best pieces. This is an area where less can definitely be more.
Wearing a couple of nice pieces of jewellery can really add to your outfit.
12. Nice Purse
Just like with jewellery and clothes, having one or two purses that are in good condition will look better than having a bunch of purses that are in bad condition.
A purse that is in bad condition can instantly make an outfit look not so cute. A clean purse in good condition is an easy way to make your outfit prettier.
Try decluttering any purses that aren’t in good condition and try and take care of the ones that you have to keep them looking good.
13. Clean Shoes
Shoes can definitely pile up in the closet and you may have some in there that you either don’t love or aren’t in the best condition anymore.
Just like with jewellery and clothes, decluttering shoes is a great way to only keep what you feel and look good in.
With the shoes that you do end up keeping, try maintaining them to keep them in good condition.
Nothing can throw off a cute outfit faster than a pair of shoes that are dirty or falling apart.
14. Good Posture
Good posture can be so hard to maintain especially nowadays when we are hunched over screens a lot of the time.
But good posture can instantly make you look prettier.
There are tons of stretches and exercises online you can try to help with a better posture.
15. Clean Nails
Clean and healthy nails may not seem like a big thing, but it is one of those small but easy ways to look prettier instantly.
This doesn’t necessarily mean having to go and get a manicure every week. Even keeping your nails bare and clean look way better than nails that have chipped nail polish on them.
16. Eat Healthy
Eating healthy is not only good for your health, but it is a simple and easy way to look prettier.
Eating healthy can really have great effects on your skin and hair.
17. Enough Sleep
Just like with eating healthy, getting enough sleep is great for your health and your appearance.
We all know that we look better when we are well rested than when we look tired.
Try going to bed a bit earlier every night until you get to a point where you are getting enough sleep each night.
18. Lint Roller
Clothes that have lint or fur all over can really take away from the cuteness of an outfit. Keeping a small lint roller at home, in the car, or in your purse is great to quickly take off any lint or fur from your clothes.
19. Steamer
Wrinkles can really ruin a cute outfit and make it look a little sloppy.
A small portable steamer is a great thing to have at home to quickly get out any wrinkles from clothes.
