The Night Before

Doing a little bit of preparation the night before isn’t necessary, but it can take your quick makeup routine to the next level.

If you have some time the night before, consider some of the tips below to elevate your makeup routine the next day.

1. Face Mask

Using a hydrating face mask the night before will help your face look hydrated and refreshed.

Just like with a face mask, a lip mask can be super hydrating and make your lips look better.

Lip products look sooo much better when you have a nice white smile.

I love using whitening toothpaste or whitening strips to get super nice white teeth.

There are tons of great face lotions out there. I personally LOVE the Tatcha brand because I’ve never been able to find another moisturizer that gives the same smooth and hydrated look.

But when I’m on a budget I love using other more affordable brands that still make my skin smooth and soft.

2. Primer

Another good base for a great makeup routine is a good primer.

Even though this is a quick makeup routine, we still want the makeup to stay on all day.

Putting on primer only takes seconds and can help your makeup look better and stay on longer.

I absolutely love these primers below because they are super affordable but make your makeup look so good and last long.

3. BB Cream or Tinted Moisturizer

Whenever I want a quick makeup routine I skip foundation and use a bb cream or tinted moisturizer instead.

I find it’s a lot easier and faster to put on, making it perfect for a quick makeup routine.

4. Concealer

This step can be skipped on super busy days, but adding a little bit of concealer only takes a few seconds and can really make a difference in your makeup.

This concealer is probably the best drugstore concealer in my opinion.

5. Setting Powder

Setting powder is definitely something you can skip when you’re in a hurry or feeling extra lazy.

But i did include it here because it can be applied quickly and help keep your concealer from creasing and help control shine.

These are both great setting powders depending on whether you are on a budget or want to spend a little more.

6. Blush

Not everyone loves blush, especially if they’re doing a quick makeup look, but I personally can’t go without it!

I love the look a little bit of blush gives. It only takes seconds to apply but can make all the difference.

7. Bronzer

Just like with blush, bronzer only takes seconds to apply but can make such a difference.

I love using a little bit of bronzer as contour and to add a bit of glow.

8. Mascara

Mascara is an absolute must for me even in a quick makeup routine.

I absolutely love how mascara can make you look more awake and refreshed.

I love using a good eye lash curler with the mascara to give a beautiful curl.

9. Lipgloss

I love a good lipstick, but on days when I’m in a hurry I opt for a lipgloss.
