Good quality lip products can make all the difference in a lip care routine. Good lip care products should give you glowy, and healthy lips.
Lips are one of the features that people usually look at first. And soft, youthful lips are usually seen as attractive.
So having soft glowy lips can make us look and feel good!
And smooth, hydrated lips can make your makeup look sooo much better!
That’s why I set out to find the best lip care products I could find to share with you!
So I searched for the best lip products that are good quality but that are also affordable.
From hydrating lip masks and lip oils, to beautiful lip gloss and lipsticks, these different types of lip products seem so good and have great reviews!
This post is all about lip products.
Best Lip Products
1. Overnight Lip Masks
If you haven’t incorporated an overnight lip mask into your beauty routine then you should seriously consider it.
Overnight lip masks can feel sooo hydrating, letting you wake up to super soft lips. These are especially great in the winter when our lips naturally get dry and chapped.
I love using a lip mask the night before I have a big event because it gives me super soft and glowy lips.
It’s also fun to use an overnight lip mask during a self care routine or during an at home facial.
They really are one of the best lip products for dry lips.
There are a ton of different overnight lip masks out there. I’ve listed some popular ones below that have great reviews.
2. Tinted Lip Balm
Tinted lip balms are genuinely one of my favorite lip products because they are so versatile and easy to wear.
They not only feel great on the lips and are hydrating, but they also have a natural enough look that you can even wear them without any other makeup.
They usually give the lips a beautiful natural color that is still sheer enough that you don’t have to be too precise when you apply it.
It’s one of the lip products that you should seriously consider having in your makeup bag.
I personally love wearing tinted lip balms with a lip liner. It makes the lip balm look a little bit more put together but still super natural.
Here are some really great brands that are super popular right now.
3. Lip liners
Lip liners are so underrated sometimes but they can make a lipstick, lipgloss, or lip balm look completely different than when they are used without one.
Lip liners give lips such a beautiful shape and, if used properly, can make your lips look fuller and more plump.
I personally love having different shades of lip liners to match my favorite lipsticks because I truly see a difference when I use them and almost never wear lipstick without them.
If you starting off, it’s a good idea to at least have a nude lipstick and then a darker one if you wear darker lip colors.
If you haven’t tried using a lip liner yet, I’m telling you once you try a lipstick with a lip liner, you probably won’t go back.

4. Lipstick
Obviously this wouldn’t be a post on lip products without including lipstick. There are SO many different shades and finishes of lipstick out there, that it can sometimes get a bit overwhelming picking a shade.
Try out a couple different shades in the main lipstick color categories like pink, red, mauve, brown, or a nude. There are obviously a ton more different colors, but these are the most popular and a good place to start. Try out different colors and get familiar with what colors you like best on you.
But remember there are different shades of those colors. Red for example, has a ton of different shades, some cool, some warm, and neutral, all giving a different look. So don’t be discouraged if you try a cool toned red for example, and don’t like it. A warm or neutral toned red might suit you better.
There are also different finishes of lipstick, such as matte, glossy, sheer, frosted, liquid lipstick and more. Those too are good to test out to see what you like best.
Once you become familiar with what shades and finishes you like best, it’ll become easier to pick out lipsticks that you love and feel good in.
5. Lip Exfoliator Brush
Exfoliating your lips can help keep them smooth and soft but you should try and be as gentle as possible. The skin on our lips is thinner so you should try and use an exfoliator that is super gentle.
That’s why I really like these silicone exfoliator brushes. Silicone is gentle but effective at exfoliating which is perfect for the lips.
Using an exfoliator during your makeup routine is a great way to have smoother lips. And when your lips are smooth, lipstick applies better and looks better as well.
It also gives your lips a nice little massage when you use it which is a great way to promote blood circulation.
6. Lip Gloss
People either love lip gloss or they hate it. Yes it can get annoying when your hair gets stuck to your lips, but lip gloss can give your lips shine and glow that you can’t really get from another lip product.
The best lip gloss in my opinion is one that isn’t super sticky but still gives a glossy finish.
Thankfully there are tons of really great lip glosses out there that are just that.
There are clear lip glosses and lip glosses with color and I personally think there’s a time and place for both.
Lip glosses are also very versatile and great to keep in your makeup bag. They can be worn alone, worn with a lip liner, or worn over lipstick. All give different but beautiful finishes.
7. Lip Scrub
Is it just me or does it feel really good to use a lip scrub? Something about it feels so satisfying, especially when you wipe it off and you have super soft and smooth lips.
I find lip scrubs especially helpful to use before applying lipstick. This gives your lips a smooth base so your lipstick glides on easier and looks way better.
I always see a difference when I use a lip scrub before lipstick vs when I don’t.
There are also a ton of different DIY lip scrub recipes online that you can check out if you’re a DIY girlie.
8. Lip Balm
We probably all have lip balm somewhere in our house because lip balms are really great for lip hydration.
Lip balms are another lip product that is very versatile. They can be used alone to help chapped lips, used under lipstick for a smoother finish, or used with a lip liner for a natural lip look.
They really are a great lip product to have in your makeup bag, at home, and in your car.
9. Lip Plumper
Ouu do I love a good lip plumper! They are so fun to use and give you that full pouty lip look.
If you’re wondering how to get plump lips then a lip plumper is what will do it. Of course the plump it gives is only temporary, but they are still great if you want your lips to look more full for a couple of hours.
A good lip liner along with a lip plumper can give lips such a full plumped look.

10. Lip Oil
Lip oils always feel so luxurious and can make lips feel super soft and smooth. They give a very glossy and juicy look which can look super cute especially on natural or no makeup days.
I love searching the best lip oils because there are so many really good lip oils that are affordable but great quality.
There are a ton of different shades for lip oils too which makes them super versatile.
11. Lip Butter
Lip butter is a great lip moisturizer! It’s similar to a lip balm but lip balms are a bit more waxy whereas a lip butter is creamier.
They are both great for lip hydration but if you want more of a lip cream, then a lip butter is the way to go.
This is another lip care product that just feels super luxurious.
These are great to keep on hand especially during dry and cold months when our lips need a bit more hydration.
