We’ve all heard how important it is to protect your skin from the sun.
The sun’s UV rays can damage your skin and cause premature aging so it’s important to protect yourself.
Using sunscreen and a hat are great ways to protect your skin.
I’m not a fan of the white cast that most sunscreens left on my face so I tried this one and absolutely loved it! It is super lightweight, does not have a scent, and doesn’t make me break out.
2. Gift yourself a silk pillowcase
They say that using a silk pillowcase can help prevent wrinkles and frizzy hair because they are a lot softer than cotton pillowcases and don’t cause as much friction.
Less wrinkles and smoother hair are definitely great ways to look younger!

You don’t have to have a ton of expensive skincare products or a super long skincare routine to have great skin and to look young.

6. Keep your hair healthy
Our hair can become dry and thin as we age and a great way to look younger is to take care of your hair.
Keeping your hair moisturized and using less heat are some of the best ways to keep your hair looking good.
Styling your hair at the beginning of the week and maintaining that style throughout the week is a great way to use less heat and protect your hair.
I love using a blow dry brush for this exact reason! It’s super easy to use and you can give yourself a great blow out to last a couple of days.
That way, if you do have to do a touch up here and there it’s only a couple sections of hair as opposed to the whole head.

7. Exfoliate
When we think of youthful skin, we think of soft glowy skin.
A great way way to look younger is to exfoliate your skin.
Exfoliating your skin can help get rid of dry skin, leaving your skin looking smooth.
Using a exfoliating washcloth or brush is a super easy way to exfoliate in the shower.
8. Get enough sleep
We all know getting enough sleep is super important but it can be easier said than done. But there are things you can do to help set yourself up for success when it comes to getting more sleep.
If you find it difficult going to bed earlier, try doing it gradually, by going to bed 15 minutes earlier each day. Some people also find things like blackout curtains and sound machines help them to get a better sleep.

Even if you don’t have time or the effort to put on any makeup, curling your lashes can make you look more awake and youthful.

On the days where you do feel like wearing makeup, try to go for a more natural look.
Lighter, natural makeup looks more youthful than dark makeup.

11. Use a little self tanner, but not too much
A little bit of a bronzy glow can look so good and so youthful, but too much can have the opposite effect.
That’s why I really love using these tanning drops as opposed to most tanning products out there. I find they give a much more natural look and are way easier to use since you just mix it with your own moisturizer and you don’t need a mitt.
I especially love using this on my face where I would normally use contour. It gives the most beautiful glow and contour that lasts all week!
12. Stay hydrated
We all know we should drink more water for our health and skin. Keeping hydrated is a great way to look younger.
I have found the best way to do that is to buy a cute water bottle and bring it with you everywhere.
When I bring this with me, not only do I drink more water but it helps me stay away from sodas or other unhealthy drinks.
13. Get moving
Getting more exercise is great for your mind and body and is definitely a great way to stay looking young.
But you don’t just have to stick to intense workouts if that’s not your thing.
You are more likely to stick to a type of exercise that you find enjoyable.
Going for a walk, swimming, taking a fitness class, or a fun workout vid online are all great ways to get moving.
A great tool that I found to motivate me to move more is a fitness watch. I love seeing how many steps or calories I’ve burned after a workout, helps keep me motivated.
