If you’re wondering how to be more confident in yourself then this post is for you!
Self confidence is something that may seem like either you have it or you don’t.
But in reality we all have the ability to develop confidence.
It starts by developing a positive outlook and then taking small steps to build on that.
Having more self confidence can not only make you feel good, but it can also help you reach your goals, perform better in your career, and make you create better relationships.
Below are small actions that will help make you feel better about yourself and eventually lead to self confidence!
This post is all about how to be more confident in yourself.
How to be More Confident in Yourself
1. Start Telling Yourself Positive Things
You may have heard the phrase “fake it ’til you make it.”
It’s true that if you tell yourself over and over that you’re smart, confident and beautiful, then eventually those things will become true for you.
But first things first: before we can start believing ourselves to be all those wonderful things, we need to accept the fact that we already ARE all those wonderful things.
We may have told ourselves numerous times that we’re not good enough or smart enough or pretty enough.
This is simply not true! And as soon as we acknowledge that these negative messages about ourselves are not real and aren’t true, we will start to feel a lot more confident about who we are and what our capabilities are.
Using tools like a gratitude journal or affirmation cards can really help with this.

2. Change Your Posture To Look More Confident
One of the quickest ways to look more confident is by changing your posture.
This can help you feel more secure and make you appear as if you have a strong presence.
To change your posture, simply pull yourself up and keep a straight back with your shoulders relaxed.
I absolutely love using a posture corrector for this reason. It can really help you correct your posture!
3. Smile More Often
Smiling more often can make you feel happier and look more approachable, which will help you feel like a better person.
And when you smile more, you look more confident.
Don’t be afraid to be silly! Laughing at yourself can be a great way to get over being shy or nervous.
This is a great way to let out some nervous energy and make others feel comfortable around you as well.
A great way I found to be more confident in my smile is to whiten them once in awhile with whitening strips.
It makes me feel really good about my smile when my teeth are nice and white.
4. Don’t Worry About What Other People Think About You
This is definitely easier said than done but seriously try not to worry about what other people think.
Try and remember that you can’t control what people think about you and no matter what you do, some people might not like you, and that’s okay!
Try instead to focus on what you think of yourself, because that you can change!
Live your life the way you want to, follow your heart, and don’t let other people’s opinions influence your decisions.
5. Congratulate Yourself On Your Accomplishments, No Matter How Small
One of the most important tips on how to be more confident in yourself is to congratulate yourself on your accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem.
The more you reward yourself for your achievements, the more likely it is that you will make progress in the future.
It’s also important not to compare yourself with other people or judge your success based on their standards or benchmarks.
You have different goals and different means of achieving them, so try not to compare yourself!
