Best Romantic Date Night Ideas at Home
1. Movie Night
Movie date nights are simple but can be super fun especially if you add a few extra fun things into the mix.
I love making a big bowl of popcorn, grabbing some drinks and snacks, and gather as many blankets and pillows as I can!
I recently discovered mini projectors which can take a movie night to the next level! You can hook up your smart phone to a projector and watch a movie pretty much anywhere in your home.
Setting one up in your backyard or on your balcony would be SUPER fun and a great way to watch a movie under the stars.
2. Candlelight Dinner
What can be more romantic than a candlelight date night dinner? They are great whether you cook the meal yourself or even if you order in.
I usually opt to order in or cook something in a slow cooker.
That way I don’t feel rushed and I can still make it look romantic by using nice plates, napkins and cutlery.
3. Board Game Night
Board game nights can be a super fun date night idea. I like setting a board game cafe vibe where we’ll put on some music, have snacks and make some yummy lattes.
You can stick with the classic board games for a more relaxed fun vibe or make it more of a romantic date night by playing some couple’s board games.
4. Spa Night
This is one of my FAVORITE type of date nights! I love to relax and pamper myself but sometimes it is hard to find time.
That’s why I love the idea of a spa night. It combines spending time with your loved one AND both of you getting some pamper time.
It can be SUPER romantic and really make you feel close to one another.
Put on some relaxing music, diffuse some essential oils, grab some robes and some face masks and maybe even give one another a massage.
I think it’s the perfect romantic date night idea.
If you really want a spa like experience check out the shower steamers below they are my FAV. They make you feel as though you are in a spa sauna.

You may not think of karaoke as a romantic date night idea, but it can be super cute especially if you sing a duet together.
Grab some drinks and snacks, be silly and sing and dance together, it can be so much fun.
There’s plenty of free karaoke vids online and you can totally just use a hairbrush as a mic.
BUT if you do want to make things super fun and take it up a notch you can create your own karaoke room with a karaoke mic and light display!
6. Night Under the Stars
Can you think of anything more romantic than a night under the stars?
What about having a night under the stars in the comfort of your own home
There are machines that emit star-like lights on your ceiling, which at first, I didn’t think much of, but they are actually adorable! You can see the review photos of people using it and it looks SO cute.
One of my favorite romantic date nights is to pair this with roasted marshmellows to really give me that outdoor experience!
It is such a simple yet super romantic date night experience.
Grab a ton of blankets and pillows, grab some drinks and snacks and snuggle under the star light!
Or you can even have it on during movie night!
7. Cafe Night
I absolutely love the vibe of a cafe. The laid-back music, the smell of coffee, the good conversations.
Some of the best conversations I’ve ever had with my loved one was in a cafe, with our phones away and just talking over good drinks and food.
I love cafes so much that I try to create the experience in my home often.
It is much cheaper and it makes the home SUPER cozy and romantic.
Put on some music, brew some yummy drinks and let the good conversations roll in.
8. Paint Night
I really enjoy a good paint night. It’s a really fun and creative activity, even if you aren’t good at painting.
But I find it can be even more fun and romantic when it’s done in the home.
When it’s just the two of you, it’s a bit more intimate. You can help each other paint, take your time, have good conversations.
