We all know it’s important to stay active.
It’s not only healthy for our bodies, but for our minds as well.
But to be honest, it can be a struggle to find the time and energy to be active.
That’s we we’ve searched for some of the best tips on how to be more active effortlessly!
This post is all about how to be more active.
Best Tips on How to be More Active
1. Remember That You Can Be Active Without a Strict Workout
If you love a long intense workout then go for it!
But not everyone loves that and we tend to get intimidated by long intense workouts.
Try to remember to just get movement in throughout the day, and that doesn’t have to be a workout.
Walking, stretching, even cleaning the house are all great ways to get some movement in throughout the day.
These are way less intimidating ways to get movement in, which makes it more likely you’ll do it.
2. Do What You Love
Find the type of exercise that you love to do not necessarily what everyone else is doing.
If you love the exercise, you are WAY more likely to do it and to stick to it.
Try different workout vids online or even try some drop in classes or join a team sport.
Spinning, stretching, swimming, jogging, and kickboxing are just some examples of fun workouts.
Try different ones and see what you love.
3. Set Up Your Home
Not everyone is able to, or wants to go to a gym to workout. So set up your home as a place where you’re able to be more active.
Try and remove excess clutter to make space for stretching or pilates.
Keep workout equipment in easy to get to places so you’ll be more likely to use it.

4. Use Fun Exercise Equipment
When something is fun you are obviously more likely to want to do it.
There are tons of equipment out there that makes exercising a lot more fun.
Things like a balance ball, resistance bands, and a jump rope are great ways to have a bit more fun with a workout.
If you have the space they even have mini trampolines and mini walking pads!
5. Eat Healthy
Eating healthy can help us have more energy and feel better, making it easier to workout.
You’ll be a lot more likely to be active when you feel energized from eating healthy food, rather than if you felt sluggish after eating junk food.
Try starting off with small healthier choices throughout the day.
6. Get Enough Sleep
Just like mentioned above, you’re more likely to exercise when you feel energized.
Try to get enough sleep each night so you have enough energy to be more active.

7. Meet Up With Friends or Family
Exercising is a lot more fun when doing it with someone.
Meet up with friends or family and go on a walk together, go swimming, or take a fitness class together.
You’ll also be more likely to stick to it if you have someone holding you accountable.
8. Get Outside
Sunshine and fresh air can really make you feel energized. And it’s more fun to be active outside!
Try getting outside and go for a walk or jog, stretch, or go on a bike ride.
If you have kids, taking them outside to play with them is a great way for you and them to get some exercise.
9. Sneak in Movement Throughout the Day
There are tons of ways to sneak in movement throughout the day.
Try doing squats, jumping jacks, or push ups when waiting for food to heat up, do lunges on the way to the bathroom, or walking in place while watching a show.
Small movements throughout the day can seem less intimidating but can add up to a lot of movement.
10. Reward Yourself
This is especially helpful when you first start becoming more active!
Rewarding yourself after reaching fitness goals is a great way to stay motivated.
You can reward yourself with something small like a coffee from your favorite coffee shop, or something bigger like a new top or lipstick.
Even rewarding yourself with an at home spa day is a great way to motivate yourself to keep at it!
