These clear skin habits can help you achieve great skin easily!
Have you been struggling with you’re skin and are looking for good habits for clear skin? I’ve been there and I get it!
I struggled for years with acne, blackheads, and scars, and always wanted clear skin.
Let’s start by recognizing that everyone’s skin is beautiful, no matter how much acne, scars, blackheads, or whatever they have.
But it’s natural to want clear skin and to create good skin care habits.
Having clear skin is more than just about looking good. It’s about feeling confident and healthy, too.
Although there are numerous factors that can affect your skin, creating good skin habits is a great place to start.
This post is all about habits for clear skin.
1. Treat Your Skin Good
You don’t need to buy a ton of products or have a super long skin care routine to take care of your skin.
But giving your skin some love and attention everyday is good for it.
You can test out different skin care products to see which ones work best for your face.
But also keep in mind that sometimes less is more.
I find the more products I use on my face, the worse my skin gets.
So I personally like using just a cleanser, serum, and moisturizer which I found made a HUGE difference.
This combo below is the one I found made the biggest difference on my face.
I can’t even explain the difference it has made! It made most of my acne go away and cleared up my skin so much. And I’ve tried tons and tons of products before finding what works.
But everyone is different and you may find using different or more products on your face works better.
So test out different products but also test out the number of products in your skin routine.
2. Give Yourself a Facial
Try and take the time to give yourself a facial at least once a week.
This is not only amazing for your skin but is such a great form of self care as well.
Facials can be super expensive so it’s more cost efficient, easier, and fun to do it yourself at home.
It’s even more fun if you invite a friend over and do it together!
Some really great fun tools for an at home facial are a facial brush, steamer, blackhead remover, and a great face mask.
These are fun to use and can make a really nice difference in your face.

3. Change Your Pillow Case Frequently
Pillow cases can collect a lot of build up which can end up right back on your face when you sleep.
Try having multiple pillow cases and washing them frequently.
Some laundry detergents can cause breakouts so you can also try switching out the laundry detergent to see if that makes a difference as well.
Satin, silk, or bamboo pillowcases are also said to be better for acne prone skin as they don’t soak in as much oils from the face.
4. Stop Touching Your Face
Another good clear skin habit to incorporate is not touching your face.
There are many ways that we tend to touch our faces, and if you are concerned about having clear skin, this is one habit you should break right away.
So try not to pick or scratch your skin, rub your face with dirty hands or fingers, or pick at pimples.
A lot of picking and scratching can cause breakouts or scarring.
It can be a tough habit to break but can make a big difference!
5. Wash Your Face at Night
Seems like a simple enough habit, but sometimes we can get lazy and not want to wash our face at night.
But our skin can get dirty and sweaty throughout the day and it’s good to wash all that off.
ESPECIALLY if you have makeup on! Try to never ever go to bed with makeup on!
Even if you don’t feel like a whole skincare routine at least remove any makeup and cleanse.
If you dread doing skincare at night, keep your nighttime skincare routine short and simple.
6. Drink More Water
We’ve all heard drinking water can help your skin.
Drinking water is great for clear skin and a healthy body.
Drinking enough water throughout the day can keep your skin hydrated and looking good.
Water also helps flush out toxins from the body that could cause acne breakouts.
7. Eat Healthy
We’ve also all heard that eating a healthier diet can improve the skin as well.
I noticed a HUGE difference when I changed my diet and cut out a lot of processed food.
When I began to eat healthier, my skin and body felt and looked a lot better!
If you struggle with eating healthier, start by making small but better eating choices throughout the day.
Try to also not keep much processed food in the house.
8. Try to Get More Sleep
Sleeping is important for healthy skin, so try to get a good night’s rest as often as possible.
Sleep can also boost your immune system and make you feel less stressed out. Which can make a difference in your face.
Getting more sleep can be difficult so try things like:
- Keep a regular schedule. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day (even weekends) so that your body gets used to an internal clock.
- Avoid caffeine later in the day.
- Limit screen time before bedtime

9. Exercise
Exercising is amazing for your whole body including your skin.
Sweating during a workout is great for your skin!
It can be super difficult to find the time to workout, so start small and try implementing at least 10 minutes of workout into your day.
